Springtime in Los Angeles

There is nothing quite like springtime in LA! Obviously Los Angeles is known for its beautiful weather but there is something a little extra special about spring that will have you head over heels for the city of angels. Leo and I recently headed down to the The Flower Fields in Carlsbad. 50 acres of extraordinary color that’s in bloom on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean to really kick Springtime into overdrive! The Flower Fields
The Flower Fields is a flower garden found on the Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California. It opens up once a year in spring from March 1 through May 10 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.
Before getting down to the fields you can purchase tickets online HERE or you can buy them at the entrance. There is ample parking and the prices are listed below. If you have a large party, they have group tours as well!
Admission Charges:
Adults: $16
Seniors 60+: $14
Children 3-10: $8
We recommended getting down there early for prime parking and to beat the crowds.
Neither of us had ever been to the fields before so we decided to strap on our new Teva sandals and take a trip down south to see Southern California in full bloom!
Comfort and Style

When we arrived at the fields it was absolutely breathtaking!! We could actually smell the flowers when turned in to park our car! As we walked up to the fields it felt as if we were stepping into a coloring book painted by God!
Nothing can prepare you for the acres upon acres of magnificent flowers if you have never seen anything like this before! First of all, it was tantalizing to say the least because you arent allowed to go into the rows of flowers!
Which is probably a good thing because we know what people will do for an Instagram picture…
They were all so beautiful! All we wanted to do was roll around and surround ourselves in them while taking in all the grandness they possessed.
Now it feels like Springtime in Los Angeles!
Teva Sandals
At Nearly 50 acres we were glad we were wearing our Teva sandals! There were A LOT of people right at the beginning of the fields when we first walked in waiting in lines to take photos, so we walked a ways to find that “perfect” spot for our pictures.
Of course, you can take a wagon ride around the fields, but we were enjoying the stroll through the flowers.
Leo and I both suffer from plantar fasciitis pain in our feet which is caused from sports from back in the day. So regular flip flops just don’t cut it anymore. These Teva sandals have changed the game for us now!
Lightweight, comfy and supportive! We literally could have walked the whole 50 acres in these sandals!
Not to mention that they are ridiculously cute and go with basically everything!!
When we go out for an adventure, we love to do it in style. Here, we’ve paired a cotton jogger with navy TERRA-FLOAT 2 KNIT UNIVERSAL. Cute and comfortable takes the prize.
What are our adventure must haves? Definitely sunscreen, a reusable water bottle and comfortable shoes. We think well-being overall is the best approach. We love our TERRA-FLOAT 2 KNIT UNIVERSAL and will for sure be taking them on all our adventures from here on out!
